Book Review | Memories of Babi
by Aranka Siegal

Score: 4

This book delivered a delightful meaningful message of what living Jewishly really means and the unconditional love between a grandmother and granddaughter. It contains wonderful, readable, emotional and highly visual stories that made me laugh out loud, gave me goosebumps and had me crying. The author describes the sights, sounds and smells of her life on the farm as she lived it with her “Babi” as a young girl. These images from the past evoke such warm and tender memories one can’t help but hope we are doing the same for our own children in this generation.  I am not sure if this book will please children, but their parents will surely love it. Would be a wonderful Intergenerational Book Club read. Recipes at the end would provide some great hands-on activities and wonderful refreshments.

A must for every Jewish library.
