Book Review | A Dozen Daisies for Raizy: A Shavuos Story
by Rebecca Klempner

Score: 3

Here is a lovely Shavuot story of sharing all the mitzvot of the holiday with the entire community. The text is simple, with a cute count down sub-story. The illustrations are beautiful watercolor line drawings that illustrate the text beautifully. With so few books available about this important holiday, this is a wonderful addition to any library collection. The glossary in the back of the book provides clear definitions for Hebrew and Yiddish words that may be unfamiliar and there is a “More about Shavuos” page at the end of the story.

I recommend this book for all Jewish libraries.
